Lady walks for 10 hours in NYC receives hundreds of rape threats

Shoshana B. Roberts, actress, video recorded a 10-hour walk in New York City only to receive unlimited catcalls from men to detail the harassment women getting from their opposite sex.

This experiment was commissioned by an advocacy group called Hollaback partnered with Rob Bliss who owns the marketing agency that produces viral videos.

Roberts who is also known for being a black belter in Tae Kwon Do received a total of 108 casting calls. Most of the guys went straight into having a conversation with her by asking some questions as if they knew her. Some noticed her appearance and the clothes she wears.

In the report made by The Guardian, there was a man walked alongside her without saying anything for five minutes.

And another one tailed her volunteering to give his number to her.

This is a 2-minute experimental clip to openly see the street harassment is not okay with a main goal that we should refuse to tolerate this kind of act.

Emergency Hotline 911 receives a 'pizza order' from a lady who needs help

A woman who is a victim of domestic violence called 911 for help but was unable to directly discuss of what was happening to her so she used a code-like conversation by starting to order a pizza.

Fortunately, the dispatcher did not take her call lightly, instead he became intuitive and analyzed her situation very carefully.

Read the transcript of the conversation between the victim and the dispatcher and noticed how well their thoughts were connected to each other.

"911, where is your emergency?"

"123 Main St."

"Ok, what's going on there?"

"I'd like to order a pizza for delivery." (oh great, another prank call).

"Ma'am, you've reached 911"

"Yeah, I know. Can I have a large with half pepperoni, half mushroom and peppers?"

"Ummm…. I'm sorry, you know you've called 911 right?"

"Yeah, do you know how long it will be?"

"Ok, Ma'am, is everything ok over there? do you have an emergency?"

"Yes, I do."

"..And you can't talk about it because there's someone in the room with you?" (moment of realization)

"Yes, that's correct. Do you know how long it will be?"

"I have an officer about a mile from your location. Are there any weapons in your house?"

"Nope."

"Can you stay on the phone with me?"

"Nope. See you soon, thanks"

According to the dispatcher, he checked the history of the address given by the lady and found out that there were records of multiple domestic violence from the previous calls.

Finally, the officer arrived at the house and immediately saw the lady in bad shape with her drunk boyfriend. Her partner was arrested for beating her.

The dispatcher said that she was intelligent to pull that kind of trick and that emergency call is the most memorable one for him.

Indian Football Player dies after Somersault Celebration

An unexpected turn of event for an Indian football player who somersaulted to celebrate a goal for his team resulted to death after acquiring an injury to the spine.

Peter Biaksangzuala was confined in the northeast Indian state of Mizoram after the fatal incident. He had been in the intensive care unit but died a few days after he injured himself during a match between his team, Bethlehem Vengthlang, and Chanmari West on Tuesday, October 21.

As the game entered the 62-minute mark, the 23-year-old footballer served a goal and attempted a somersault to celebrate; but all of a sudden, an unwanted tragedy happened when the midfielder landed on his neck.

His teammates immediately noticed there was something wrong with him, rushing to his area, and in just a few seconds someone from his team was calling for a help from the bench side.

The injured Indian football player was rushed to the nearest hospital, Aizawl Civil Hospital, where he had undergone a CT scan which reported a spinal cord damage due to the awkward landing from his somersault. He was transferred to an ICU but recovery was not possible.

Biaksangzuala's last rites were at his home town, Khawzawl, 120 miles from Aizwal, capital of Mizoram.

"Peter was a very talented player who dreamt of playing in the national league."

"His death has come as a big shock to all of us. We all thought he would recover," said the secretary of Lalnghinglova Hmar of the Mizoram Football Association’s (MFA).

According to Hmar, a charity match in memory of Biaksangzuala is getting ready by the league and his team officially announced the retirement of his shirt #21.

At the age of 28, Walters has a record of 25-0 and took home his first world title. On the other hand, Donaire now has 33-3 and said that a reevaluation on his career plans is needed probably going down to the lower weight class as he was unable to deal with the larger size like Walters who opened up a cut over the right eye of the former champion.

“I’ve got to go back to the drawing board. I just can’t compete with guys like Walters. He was overwhelming. I couldn’t match his size and his power.” said Donaire

Filipino in US saves life of a passenger from burning car, called hero by netizens

REDWOOD CITY, CALIFORNIA –- Netizens hailed a former Filipino appointee of President George W. Bush after he rescued a passenger from a burning car in Chicago.

This 'good samaritan' was identified as Rudy Pamintuan from Illinois. He posted on his Facebook page that he witnessed an accident at the Kennedy Expressway and he helped the person to escape out of a burning vehicle.

His friends are now calling him a hero, as well as the netizens.

Pamintuan is a well-known individual in the Chicago Pinoy community for being a former appointee of President Bush to serve as Chairman of the President’s Advisory Commission on Asian-American and Pacific Islanders.

Currently, he is managing an international affairs firm.

”My Husband’s Lover,” the TV drama series aired from June to October 2013 which tackled gay relationships is now nominated for the International Emmy Awards under the Telenovela category, according to the website post of International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences.

Indian Nationals slapped alleged 'Two-Timer Filipina' for cheating on both of them

An alleged two-timer Filipina got slapped by her Indian boyfriends when they learned she was just playing with them. She was recorded and a two-part Facebook video titled "Love in Singapore" was uploaded by Anupam Maurya that went viral.

These two videos showing the alleged female overseas Filipino worker (OFW)being beaten in the face and head by two Indian men who believed to be her boyfriends.

There were no identifications about who are those included in the video.

However, some netizens are saying that the woman is a Filipina while others believe that she's an Indonesian.

The alleged cheater was in pain and crying due to the continuous beating she's receiving from her lovers. She was asking them to stop but to no avail.

An 18-year-old girl from Batken, Kyrgyzstan went through invasive medical procedure for the removal of a 9-pound hairball that built and stuck inside her stomach.

Ayperi Alekseeva had a chief complaint of severe stomachaches which restricted her from eating solid foods or even drinking liquids. She was then immediately admitted to a hospital.

On x-ray examination, an unusual blockage with a hairy form was seen and the medical team decided to conduct an emergency operation to remove it.

“It was actually the only alternative, nothing else would solve the problem," surgeon Bahadir Bebezov said, according to the report of News.com.au.

Dr. Bebezov said Alekseeva has a bad habit of eating hair that she picks up from the carpet and also chewing her own hair tips.

"In fact her stomach was so badly swollen from hair and bits of wool from the carpet that it literally just oozed out as soon as the wall of the stomach was cut," Bebezov said according to the Telegraph.

Alekseeva promised to stop her nasty hair-eating habit after she had undergone her first major surgery in her entire life.

BGC guards beat up and violently arrest two foreigners for skateboarding

This video was uploaded in YouTube last September 27 by ghelo bytes. The incident happened Happened on at the corner of 5th and 30th Avenue, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig where a classic police brutality and abuse of the power of authority were seen.

As we can see on this video, a Caucasian guy was surrounded by at least seven marshals and his companion was restrained by a couple of BGC guards on the ground a few meters away from him. Another couple of officers came to the scene and quickly joined the 'harassment'.

What's more alarming on this incident is, we can see a punch given by an officer straight to the stomach of the foreigner with wrecked clothes and sore body.

Also, we heard some audible and clear wordings from the guards like "posasan mo" (shouting to put cuffs on the Caucasian man) while the guy held still on the ground kept on saying “I’d like you … I’d like you...yes...it’s okay...it’s okay”.

A guard noticed that they were being recorded, he approached the dude who was taking the video and shouted “hoy! putang ina mo ah! huy bakla!” (foul words).

Bonifacio Global City, Taguig is where foreign businessmen and expatriates from different other countries are going in the Philippines due to the concentration of Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) businesses here. That being said, authorities should protect and address the concerns and interests of the foreigners without any violence.

Here’s what happened before this kickboxing incident:

The English men’s names are Sam & Chris, two of the nicest people I’ve known in the city. Sam is a resident of BGC & Chris is his best friend who’s here for vacation.

Sam just wished to use his skateboard and have fun that Saturday Afternoon | Sept 27. They initially played in front of Banana Republic along fifth avenue, two lady police women approached them and nicely told them that they can’t use the board in that area and they instructed them to play at the park instead, which they did.

At the park, a lady marshal | the one shown in the video with a proud look at 1:16 stopped them rudely unlike the police women. As per Sam’s sharing, in their country they look up to their police officers as kings, they respected them and honour them, so their words were gold. So between the police women & the marshals, they believed the words of the police. They insisted to the marshal that they were told that it is okey to skate in that area and that’s where the argument began.

Marshal called for back-up and two Big Marshals arrived, confiscated the skate board, in Sam’s mind he just want to get the skateboard and run off as he was already scared, which he successfully did. Then new set of reinforcements arrive and this video is what happened next. They got caught.

Given, that the marshals’ were right that it is indeed prohibited to skate although ironically, to play IN A PARK, does it have to end this way? Where’s the maximum tolerance ruling? Oh maybe this marshals have a different code. We don’t need to be an investigator to figure out that there is something wrong here, they already got him but still the marshals had a grand time I guess showing off their kickboxing skills.

To make it even worse, Sam, with a bruised face and a broken rib and Chris were arrested for being charged with PHYSICAL INJURY by two of this wonderful marshals. Really clever and wise move. They got detained that very night.

Our experience with the investigating team made the night even worse. Few CLOSED DOOR briefings with the complainants (the marshals) and the police happened that night investigator needed to ask what happened, we were waiting for our turn to be asked about our side but it never came.

“Dito ko naintindihan, kawawa ka talaga kapag wala kang kakilala. Kahit ikaw na ang agrabyado, kayang kaya nilang palabasin na ikaw ang masama. I realized, ang bigat pala kapag ikaw na ang nasa ganitong sitwasyon.” (This is where I realized, you are really at a loss if you don’t know anyone. Even if you are the one being aggravated, they can easily manipulate the situation and make it appear like you were in the wrong. I realized, it is very heavy for someone to be in this situation)

For some reason they weren’t allowed to file a counter-charge that very night and we weren’t able to do anything to prevent them from detaining the two. Where in fact, Sam & Chris, were supposed to be the one filing that PHYSICAL INJURY CASE. If there’s any lawyer reading this we would really appreciate your advice sirs and madams.

Sam is currently confined in St. Lukes & Chris is being held at Taguig Police Station just beside City hall of Taguig as suspects.

How Pinay Maid in Singapore turns junk to cash; became 'boss' back in PH

Jeanilyn Bermudez was once a domestic helper in Singapore and she became her own boss in the Philippines where she can turn the trash into cash.

At the age of 19, she started working as an Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) in Singapore in 1984 believing that she can be rich in just a matter of few months. But she found herself very disappointed during her career employment.

However, Bermudez didn't give up and made her way to be an entrepreneur when she went back in the Philippines. She put up her own business Lyneth Grace Metal and Boxes Junk Shop.

Aside from being a mother of three, she operates and manages her own recycling shop in Nueva Vizcaya and currently has a total of 23 employees (5 adults and 17 students) that help her gather junks from neighboring towns to be recycled.

“Here in my village, I feel I am the big boss... Here, I'm the one who is telling, do this and that and they call me madam," Bermudez told Our Better World, a a digital initiative of Singapore International Foundation.

Her own business puts her family into a better living situation and this provides them a steady cash flow (or income) as well as giving her a lessen workload as the sole family provider.

“This is my treasure, all the junk here. I'm very proud to have this junk shop because it makes me very happy, and helping people here in my village, especially these jobless people here and the children,” said Bermudez.

Bermudez was affiliated with Aidha, a Singaporean non-profit organization, when she was working as a domestic helper in SG. This organization teaches financial and computer literacy, business management, and entrepreneurship skills to foreign domestic workers.

According to the Aidha ambassador, Veronica Gomez, the biggest challenge for all their students is how to say "no" to relatives who asked for money. For Bermudez, learning how to do this was such as a big help for her.

Because majority of the students had "little or no savings," Aidha offers training on how to save earnings and how to start own businesses as well as to create a sustainable wealth.

The organization is giving two modules to interested domestic workers and they will undergo training for nine months. They ask for a small amount of fee which can be paid in six month installments.

And this Pinay maid was one of their students who became successful on putting up her own business in the Philippines providing sustainable income to the family without needing to go abroad far away to her loved ones. Instead, she now became her own boss.

Stephanie Beaudoin, an alleged thief, garners an army of admirers online as she seems to be the "world's hottest criminal" at this time.

According to the report of Mirror, this 21-year-old nursing student from Quebec, Canada was charged with 108 offenses relating to 42 alleged burglaries over the summer.

However, an unexpected turn of incident happened online after an image of Stephanie Beaudoin wearing a bikini appeared on Twitter. Instead of receiving negative statements or reactions due to her unlawful activities, supports from the admirers (most of them are men) poured in.

Pinoy janitor plays piano during breaks to make patients feel happy (video)

Meet this Filipino with a big heart who works as a janitor for Rockford Memorial Hospital in Rockford, Illinois, giving something to the employees, patients, and guests to make them feel at ease during stressful times of their lives.

Rolando Maaba plays the piano at the main lobby of hospital during his 15-minute break. His piano skills provide a relaxing environment which brought the attention of ABC News' Good Morning America.

He was featured and an interview was conducted with him. Watch and know more about the Rockford Health System's Own Piano Man:

This video was uploaded by Rockford Health System showing the 55-year-old Philippine native playing piano with his heart. According to the report, he moved to Rockford in 1999 but only started working for the hospital last year.

During the interview, Maaba admits that he doesn't know how to read the notes. So basically, he's just using his ears and solely his musician skills to perform this very relaxing piece.

He said he plays piano so that he can give people happiness.

Though he has some difficulty delivering English sentences, he confidently answered all the questions and finished the interview. What's more important is the thought.

Maaba likes his work in the hospital because he can go in different departments and make new friends. Employees call him a "joker."

Beware of a 'warning message' being posted in the social networking sites and sent via SMS as well as email addresses that has something to do with "cosmic rays radiation" as this has been proven as hoax.

But upon researching, BBC News already reported this kind of modus operandi way back in 2010 and claimed that the text messages about earthquake predictions that cause panic in Ghana that time was a hoax.

Another article was posted exposing the bad intentions of the culprits. They are even using the credentials of Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) to spread the misleading message in the social media.

According to Coolbuster.net, once you turn off your phone, fraudsters will contact your family members or even your housemaids and tell them that you got involved in an accident.

Here's the catch. Because you believed that 'cosmic rays radiation' rumor, you turned off your phone. Now, your family and friends have no means to contact you and verify your condition.

The cyber criminals will take charge and talk to your loved ones telling that you are in need of emergency money.

And before you know it, money transfer was already completed. These crooks are too good to sound convincing.

Avoid this scheme. Don't ever believe the "cosmic rays radiation" message. Share this to your family, relatives, and friends.

An alleged Apparition of 'Blessed Virgin Mary' seen in Africa

This video is not like those UFO footages out there. We're assuming that a person was holding a device that can record this phenomenon where it captured something in the sky that resembles the image of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

There is no enough information found on the description of this video but the title indicates that it happened somewhere in "Africa."

Upon seeing this video, we went straight to Google and type the keywords "Virgin Mary Apparition in Africa" which led me to PatrickMadrid.com that wrote something about "Project Blue Beam."

What is Project Blue Beam?

According to RationalWiki.org, Project Blue Beam is a conspiracy theory that claims that NASA is attempting to implement a New Age religion with the Antichrist at its head and start a New World Order, via a technologically-simulated Second Coming.

That being said, it could be that that was seen in the footage or it could also be a demonic spirit disguising as the Virgin Mary. Else, it could just be another hoax game.

People who witnessed this unusual thing in the sky suddenly became emotional. From what we have heard, some are crying while others are cascading some sort of prayers.

The people are quite agitated by whatever it is they are seeing in the sky. Occasionally, their excitement spikes with startled cries and what sound to me like prayers being shouted. They are obviously seeing something unusual and startling.

Unexpected event where girlfriend rejects her boyfriend's marriage proposal in mall

Marriage proposals always don't have a happy ending like what you have seeing in movies.

Apparently, a heart-wrenching scene was caught inside a mall in Davao City where a girl rejected her boyfriend's marriage proposal and walked away from him. Photos were taken which have been going viral.

According to the original article of Cool Buster, the marriage proposal attempt that failed happened at the Abreeza Ayala Mall in Davao City.

Photo was taken on the scene where the guy was on his knee asking his girlfriend to marry him. He was cheered up by the people inside the mall and they were shouting "yes!"

But the next thing happened was unexpected, at least for him. His girlfriend rejected his proposal and walked away from the scene.

Netizens rant against Facebook page admin for making a 'funny meme' using Yolanda Survivor's face

UPDATE: The admin of Philippine Pie [R-18] posted a public apology where he or she openly admitted his or her sin for creating a meme using the face of a Yolanda Survivor just to make fun of it.

Ang intensyon lang po namin ay mag paligaya ng tao pero kabaliktaran ang nangyare. Inuulit ko humihingi po ulit kami ng pasensya sa mga taong nasaktan at sa mga taong sumusubaybay ng pahinang ito. #FreeMurahinAngAdmin

Yesterday, a concerned netizen sent a message asking if we can make an article about this Yolanda Survivor's face used to create a funny meme and being laughed at.

According to our source person (who refused to identify his name in public for security purposes), this 'insensitive' meme was created by the admin of Philippine Pie [R-18].

As we can see, the agonizing face of the Yolanda Survivor was edited where texts added read as "Lord Kung Hindi Siya Para Sakin...Pwede Niyo Na Po Siyang Kunin." This was first uploaded yesterday and gathered various reactions and comments.

And then social justice warriors came in to the rescue, asking to delete the post but no response from Philippine Pie's admin. They said the admin who created the meme and those who laughed at it had no respect to that (Yolanda Survivor) guy "who loses almost everything."

Some people say that they should have just grabbed some faces from the movies so that they would not hurt the feelings of others especially when they just experienced a typhoon like Yolanda.

After concerned netizens confronted the 'insensitive' comments, some of them apologized and even deleted their own not-so-good comments:
