Daughter of Gringo Honasan turns four chairs on 'Voice PH'

MANILA -- The season 2 of "The Voice of the Philippines has started and the 25-year-old classical pianist who turned out to be the daughter of Gringo Honasan showed off her one of a kind talent that made her way to be part of Team Bamboo after turning 4 chairs.

She is Kai Honasan, the youngest daughter of Senator Gringo Honasan, from Marikina City. She also plays ukulele aside from playing piano, which she did on this Voice PH audition.

Kai belted out "Teenage Dream" by Katy Perry and put a new twist into it that made all the four coaches turned their chairs. Sarah Geronimo was the last one who hit the button just before the song ended.

She joined the competition as she wants to prove something to her dad. Being the youngest among the five siblings, she says she also wants to make her own story.

All four judges praised Kai and wanted her to their respective teams. Lea Salonga, one of the judges, boldly said that she wants her to be in her team with apl.de.ap wants the same.

While Sarah G. noticed the uniqueness of Kai's style in singing. She wants to help an artist like that's why she's asking for a chance to Kai choose her team.

On the other hand, coach Bamboo believes he will be a good coach for her. He made a statement focusing more on the artistic side of the competition where he mentioned about growth over prize.

Eventually, Kai Honasan made a decision to be part of Team Bamboo as she feels she came from the same world as where Bamboo came from.
