MANILA - Comedienne Tia Pusit died on Thursday night; sister Nova Villa confirmed her death. She was 66 years old.
Tia Pusit underwent double bypass surgery almost a month earlier.
The veteran comedienne passed away at the Philippine Heart Center in Quezon City at 11:30 p.m. October 2, 2014.
According to her sister Nova, she was battling with multiple medical complications such as brain hemorrhage after her operation on September 9.
Tia Pusit, or Myrna Villanueva in real life, had been in the show business for more than three decades as a comedienne actress. Her last appearance in national television was in "Ikaw Lamang" playing the role of Kim Chiu's nanny and confidante.
Funeral arrangements are still being finalized by the Tia Pusit's family.
