MANILA – The Filipina X Factor Australia contender blows the audience and judges when she belts out her rendition of Metallica's "Nothing else Matters" on Sunday performance. Marlisa Punzalan continues to show amazing performances. She belted out last week the Frozen's theme song 'Let It Go'.
"Such a risk that Ronan gave you that song especially that you didn't really know who Metallica were. That is my favorite performance of yours to date," said Natalie Bassingthwaighte, X Factor Australia judge.
Punzalan, being the youngest contestant, admitted that she's almost clueless about Metallica, but still the judges gave her a standing ovation after she successfully performed her own version of the metal band's hit song.
Praises and comments from the judges were given to her. They said that she's really feeling it and that she's improving week on week.
"For me, the big notes in there, there is something that reminds me of the best of Celine Dion. Look after your voice. Nurture your voice and keep this going. This is the Marlisa we want to see," said judge Dannii Minogue.
Ronan Keating turned out to be so proud of Punzalan for growing so much in the competition and her accomplishments.
Marlisa Punzalan is passionate, fierce, aggressive, and incredible. These were the words that most described her after this 'metal' performance.
