Worldwide - The photographer based in Ontario, Canada, Lindsay Foster took photos of the newborn baby Milo with his two (2) dads welcoming him with overflowing emotions. He was born on June 27, 2014, via a surrogate mother which is also a friend of Foster.
The photos were posted on Foster's Facebook official page last June 28, 2014, and it instantly became a wildfire over social media with couple of thousands of likes, shares, and comments and consistently growing.
The posted photo, no doubt, became viral with so many reasons. Foster thought that people now have a more acceptable thinking about "gay" being out there. She didn't expect to have different kinds of reactions from the viewers.
Everybody participated and gave their own reactions and opinions. She believes that it was indeed a very nice way to end the Pride Month.
The surrogate mother is a friend of Foster that's why she photographed the birth for free. She also said that she was so excited to know that the baby was for the 2 gays who want to be fathers. They are Barone and Nelson, married gay couple. The gay marriage in Canada became legal on June 20, 2005, which made them the fourth country in the world that recognizes same-sex partners with all legal rights. In Ontario, gay marriage was legalized since June 10, 2003.
There are comments that are negatively pointed out to Barone and Nelson for being gay, but the couples sent a message for everyone and it was posted on Lindsay's Facebook page:
Thank you to everyone out there who has taken the time to like, comment and share our picture! This was truly an incredible moment in our lives that will be captured forever by the lovely Lindsay Foster Photography. We are so lucky that we have a beautiful, healthy baby boy! All comments posted are respected, although we may not agree with the negative ones, the positive ones far outweigh the negative. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. This is a moment of pure love and acceptance. Milo is surrounded by unconditional love and he will grow up knowing many different types of families and accept everyone, (intolerant people included). Milo was born during World Pride. This picture represents everything Pride is about. Love has no colour nor gender nor sexual preference. Love is unconditional. Thank you again from the bottom of our hearts! xxoo
Another thing that Foster had cleared on her Facebook page audiences was that Barone and Nelson are not naked in the photo. They are just shirtless for skin-to-skin contact which is very helpful for a newborn. This practice is for the newborn to live the life easier and many other more advantages.
