Many netizens were shocked by this hoax news which went viral specifically in Facebook news feeds.

The jailed senator is fine and alive at the custody of PNP Custodial Center in Camp Crame awaiting his trial for graft and plunder charges.
On the above-mentioned fake article, a photo of the senator was attached with a condolence message "R.I.P. Ramon "Bong" Revilla JR., 1966 - 2014." as well as Rappler.com and ABS-CBN logos were included for it to appear legitimate and authoritative.
This bogus site is specifically made for going viral over social media platforms such as Facebook for whatever the webmaster's intentions are. But users should be aware that malwares and viruses can sneak-in to their devices once they interact with this kind of sites.
