MANILA, Philippines - A seven-year-old girl was raped and stabbed to death by a group of men in Paco, Manila on a Saturday night.
The gang-raped victim was identified as Myla Rosales who was found half-naked left behind a common restroom roughly before 6 a.m. on Sunday, according to Senior Police Officer 3 Glenzor Vallejo of the Manila Police District (MPD) homicide division.
Myla was only at her first grade enrolled at Bagong Bagong Barangay Elementary School before she was raped and stabbed more than 20 times, PO3 Vallejo added.
The three suspects were also identified as Joshua de Leon, 19; Norman de Leon, 25; and Romulo Marquez, 34. All of them residing from 1676 A. Zamora street and they were spotted having a drinking session at the time the crime was committed.
An interrogation was conducted where Norman admitted that they are the guys behind killing the child. However, he's denying the allegation of raping Myla.
But PO3 Vallejo said that the 7-year-old girl was indeed raped.
One of the suspects, Norman, told the STAR that he had been using illegal substance (shabu) and binge drinking alcohol which he not had some sleep for the past three consecutive days.
Later on, Dela Rama broke down and gave all the details and the participation of the suspects on raping and killing the 7-year-old girl.
MPD homicide division chief Senior Inspector Steve Casimiro said that multiple charges will be filed against Norman and his brother Joshua as well as Romulo for the crime they committed.
