Minors are not allowed to watch 'Gandang Gabi vice', says MTRCB

MANILA - The Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) has banned minors from the audience of ABS-CBN's late night talk show 'Gandang Gabi Vice' hosted by the comedian Vice Ganda which episodes are airing every Sunday nights.

MTRCB also ordered the TV network to undergo "remedial and self-regulatory measures" for three (3) months as there were complaints received by the regulatory agency against the two (2) programs hosted by the comedian actor Vice Ganda.

The board further explained that the complaints were related to the scenes where people are insulted and jokes delivered with double meaning on both programs of ABS-CBN where Vice Ganda is hosting. These programs are the noontime show "It's Showtime" and the every Sunday late night talk show "Gandang Gabi Vice" or 'GGV'.

In connection with this, the MTRCB is banning all the minors to participate in the audience of 'GGV' as it has scenes not suitable for younger audiences which are mostly happening while taping the episodes. According to Kicker Daily, these child-sensitive scenes are most likely has been edited prior to the airing of the episodes every Sunday nights.

Jose Marie Viceral or most likely known as Vice Ganda and the staff of both programs got a recommendation from the MTRCB to undergo a seminar on audience and child sensitivity.

ABS-CBN rest assured MTRCB that they will cooperate on this matter for the benefit of its audience. The network will submit its its self-regulatory recommendations on September 1.

As per the report of ABS-CBN news, The MTRCB earlier had Vice Ganda and ABS-CBN staff attend a dialogue with the Ateneo Human Rights Center and the National Counfil for Children's Television.
