"Salisi Girl" steals bag, shops using credit card caught on CCTV

MANILA - Authorities are now in search for a woman "Salisi Girl" who stole a bag from one of the parents attending the school's "Family Day" in Makati.

The victim, Monette (not her real name), told the policemen that the lady thief had used her credit card even before she blocked it.

A report from ANC Yahoo News says that a CCTV footage from a grocery store showed that the woman used the credit card just 10 minutes after Monette realized that her bag had been taken. Monette's credit card transaction was also produced for confirmation purposes.

Makati police reviewed the CCTV footage which showed that the "woman" blending into the crowd during the school event that made it easy for her to roam around the school premises.

Chief Inspector Reycon Garduque, head of the Criminal Investigation Division of the Makati Police, stated that the successful plan of this lady thief was an old one, which they blend into the crowd to easily steal things from the people.

Garduque suggested that for events like Family Day in a school where a lot of people are going, the host should have to implement means to identify whether visitors are legitimate or not. For example, guest passes or stickers.
