Jollibee VP for Marketing Harvey Ong sent an e-mail message to GMA News Online stating that some of their Metro Manila branches and the nearby cities only have limited menu on the current operation due to the "ongoing major systems upgrade" on the part of their delivery services.
According to the netizens, branches in Recto, Divisoria, Bonficaio Global City in Taguig, and De Castro in Pasig City are experiencing stock out problem.
Meanwhile, KFC rides the trend of #ChickenSad and released their latest advertisement.
This new campaign of KFC Philippines was started on August 7, 2014, riding on the hashtag started by the Chickenjoy lovers who showed their disappointment online.
Isn't "systems upgrade" too broad or too sketchy?
Customers are doubting what's really behind the current upgrade in progress that is causing some branches to operate with a limited menu.
A couple of tweets which seem like the "systems upgrade" doesn't correlate enough with the current shortage:
"Systems Upgrade" for delivery services? Something's fishy here, don't you think? #ChickenSad @Jollibee
