Nurse with a big heart raps for her dying cancer patient

MANILA - A nurse of East Avenue Medical Center provides happiness for her patients by singing. Her name is Fatima Palma and she is dubbed as the 'nurse rapper'.

A video was taken by Daff Marqueses, daughter of her late patient, where she rapped a song entitled as "Siyudad". According to Fatima, she was taking care of Daff's father at that time. Once done, she asked the guy who knew how to perform beat box if she can join.

People in that ward felt weird when she said she wanted to sing, thinking that a nurse is going to rap.

So ang nangyari naggagamot ako, tinapos ko na yung gamot ko dun sa Daddy ni Daff. Sabi ko, "kuya pasali naman". Sabi nya, "o sige, sige. Magrarap daw to". Tapos nagtatawanan sila kasi parang, hmm? nurse?. -Fatima Palma

Nurse Fatima has been attending the medical needs of the public for 5 years now, and she admits that working is a nurse is never easy.

-Nurse Fatima said.

She then reached the point where she had this patient who passed away all of sudden while having a conversation with her. That's how tragic her work is, as per Fatima.

Fatima raps to breakaway from the sadness. She said that is she's going to be sad, her patients will be sad too.

Here's Nurse Fatima singing "Siyudad" for her dying cancer patient:

Nurse Fatima of EAMC thank you for taking care of my father and entertaining him while he was in the hospital and still alive. His life in the hospital was really painful but with nurses like you, eased the pain for a bit even to us (patient's families and friends). You rock nurse Fatima! -Daff Marqueses
