Marie Holmes became popular after winning $118 million in Powerball lottery jackpot and being subjected to different news reports.
At first, she used $21 million to bail his boyfriend who happened to be in jail often.
Afterwards, year had passed and Holmes became a target of media again after a pastor of a church file for a lawsuit against her because of their verbal agreement.
According to pastor Matthews, Holmes promised him to donate $1.5 million after she won the price, but the woman only donated $700, 000.
A representative also talked to the pastor and said that they will not send him money again, however the pastor suffered for mental and emotional distress.
“Because of the emotional distress and mental stress, they put me through, I had to start taking more medicine for anxiety and depression due to this situation.”
After some time, he lost his touch with Holmes, so he decided to file a lawsuit to sue her.
“The bottom line … I just want her (Marie Holmes) to do what she said she was going to do. I want peace and to do what God told me to do. I want her to do what she said she was going to do. I really feel like a warrior for Christ and people need to be accountable.” Pastor Matthews quoted.
Is it right for the pastor to sue Holmes? Well, it's for you to decide.
