The 20-year-old actress gave her thoughts on the issue of comparing her to Kathryn Bernardo. During the interview, she states that it's a good thing as people noticed regardless if they are bashers or not. She also said that she does not mind being compared to the "Teen Queen".
As per Philnews.ph, the interview was held during the press conference of her upcoming movie together with James Reid entitled as "Talk Back and You're Dead" where Nadine accommodates all the questions from different entertainment writers.
When asked about what are the advantages and disadvantages of being compared to KathNiel, she answered:
The 20-year-old actress gave her thoughts on the issue of comparing her to Kathryn Bernardo. During the interview, she states that it's a good thing as people noticed regardless if they are bashers or not. She also said that she does not mind being compared to the "Teen Queen". "Well I think the advantage is ano, kasi, that parang people are comparing, like what we said kanina yung level kasi ni KathNiel mataas na. And for us to be compared to that kind of ano, it's very flattering kasi nako-compare kami. We're only beginning."
She was also asked if she ever received some bashing related to this issue and she quickly answered, "Yeah, I do, I do." She also added that she copycats kathryn.
A followup question if she doesn't want to be compared. She replied:
“No, it’s okay, it's okay. I mean, it's not, it’s not bad. It’s actually really good kasi people noticed me. Kahit naman bashers ‘yan, kahit naman ayaw nila sa akin, at least they still know me, diba?” she said."
When asked about what was the worst bash she ever received, she said it was then the time when someone threatened her and her family only because she was being compared to Kathryn, but she was never scared of being threatened.
Another questions were raised on how Lustre differentiates herself to Bernardo. What do you have that others don't have? What keeps you unique?
Well with me kasi, I'm more mature than Kath. I mean, with this, with this movie mas mature yung ginagawa ko, Nadine answered
Lustre admits that she also watches the 'Teen King and Queen' movies as they are very appealing and entertaining especially to her age bracket.
Fans of KathNiel and JaDine (James Reid and Nadine Lustre love team) are most likely clashing to each other according to Nadine.
A collaboration with Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla love team is possible and is very open to Nadine Lustre even just a support role like in a love triangle scene.
