Typhoon Glenda Stronger Than Milenyo

Manila, Philippines - As of exactly 10 AM, July 15, 2014, typhoon Glenda's eye was recorded at 80 kilometers of East Northeast of Catarman, Northern Samar and 160 kilometers of East Southeast of Legazpi City with a 120 kilometers per hour of wind power and can reach up to 150 kilometers per hour. It will move towards West with a speed of 24 kilometers per hour as per forecast.

All residents living near the mountains and catch basin areas that are under signals #1, #2, and #3 have been strictly advised to be alert for possible landslides and flash floods in their places. No venturing out for fishermen in the Eastern seaboards of Visayas and Luzon, as per PAGASA.

The scope diameter of the typhoon is expected to be 500-km at large with a 7.5 to 20 millimeters per hour amount of rainfall

Kim Atienza, ABS-CBN weatherman, proclaimed that Typhoon Glenda is stronger than Milenyo.

Earlier forecast reports stated that Metro Manila, CALABARZON, Marinduque, Bicol, Northern Samar, and Oriental Mindoro will definitely have stormy weather. The Central Luzon, northern Leyte, Romblon, Occidental Mindoro, Pangasinan, Capiz, Aklan, Quirino, and Nueva Vizcaya will experience strong winds and rains and the coastal waters on the said areas will be dangerous. Mindanao and some latter part of Visayas will just have some cloudy skies with very little to average rains and thunderstorms. Other parts of Luzon that are not on the list will be partly cloudy with some will be partly cloudy to cloudy with off and on rain showers.
