What really happened before the burial? Did the family seeks medical advice to confirm if their baby is officially dead after 24 hours?
There are various premature burial cases reported over the centuries. One of the earliest recorded cases was way back 1700s. It was the premature burial story of Margorie McCall from Northern Ireland though this event was more like of a folklore than fact.
According to the story, she was pronounced dead and she was buried. Then at that night, a group of grave robbers dig her grave and exposed her body trying to remove the ring from Margorie's finger. The robbers was supposed to cut her finger but McCall suddenly came after them. She came back to life. The robbers quickly fled the cemetery because of fear. Marjorie went out from her coffin and walked back home.
