A priest named Joseph McLoone of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Downingtown stole $100,000 from the church donations to pay for a man he met in Grindr by performing sex acts on him.

The investigators revealed that the priest was doing this earthy habit for almost 6 years, using the funds from parishioners to finance his desire for sex with other men.

They discovered that in 2011 the priest opens a bank account and deposited $98,405, where all came from the church donations.

Rev. McLoone admitted the allegation and confessed that he was in personal sexual relationships with different men for years, and that includes an inmate in New York correctional facility that he met on Grindr.

Other than that the police also revealed that some funds from the donations were used by the alleged priest on paying his personal debt.

All his payments to all the men he was with and personal credit were seen in a record of online money transferring application.

In the end, the priest filed for administrative leave and later resigned due to the allegation.

The Archdiocese and the parish condemned the disgraceful act of the priest and promised the county that they will not tolerate such action.
