Three Free Throws By Paul Lee Made Gilas Won Over China

The victory of Gilas Pilipinas over China with the final scores of 80-79 was made possible by the pressurized free throws of Paul Lee without any time left in the game clock. The victory comes with a bronze medal which the Philipine team received in the FIBA Asia Cup held in Wuhan. Aside from Lee, many of his teammates contributed to this winning performance of Gilas such as Ranidel de Ocampo, LA Tenorio, and Japeth Aguilar, to name a few.



The decisive moment started when the ball was in China's possession with a score of 77-79 but they missed a shot and the ball was rebounded by Gilas.

Roughly 6 seconds left and the ball passed to Lee and step on the 3-point line faked out his defender who committed a foul sending Lee in the free throw line for 3 shots. He made all the 3 free throws.

The winning free throws of Paul Lee were nothing but net as he calmly sank it all without any tension nervous looks on his face or body.

Paul Dalistan (Paul Lee) ended up with 9 points including 3 clutch free throws. Ranidel de Ocampo who led Gilas Pilipinas from the start of the game had 18 points and 7 rebounds. Japeth Aguilar, 14 points and LA Tenorio, 12 points and 4 assists.
