Three Filipino singers passed through the audition phase of X-Factor Australia earning the most attention of the crowd as well as the judges that even gave them standing ovations.
These very talented youngsters namely Mary Ann Van Der Horst (pop-rock fan). Justin Vasquez (the tiny), and Marlisa Punzalan (shy girl) once again making a history.
Van Der Horst, a 28-year-old medical allied in profession, who is married to an Australian. According to her, the vocal range that she has fits the pop rock genre. She also added that every time she performs, her husband is annoyed. But she's just kidding
One of the judges, Ronan Keating, was in his all praises to Mary Ann as he was not expecting that kind of performance from her. She owned the song "Halo" by Beyonce and simply amazed the audience and judges.
The "tiny", Justin Vasquez, 15-year-old amateur singer. One of his recent accomplishments was that he won the International DMZZ Global Singing Idol 2013 as a representative of Australia. This was held in Manila.
He was interviewed by one of the local Australian news website and he said that his passion for music was nurtured by his uncle who stood as his mother as well as his mentor for singing.
Vasquez often quite has a stage freight but he can easily conquer this by building his confidence through positive feedback from his spectators.
One of the youngest competitor out there is Marlisa Punzalan, 14-year-old shy girl, who auditioned. She's a residence of Las Vegas and she started to sing since she was 3 years old.
She was once featured in WHO Magazine (Australian) and she admits that she is a very shy to perform but once she walks onto the stage, she intentionally switch into a different personality.
They are now qualified to move onto the boot camp stage of X-Factor Australia.
