Malaysian Airlines Flight MH17 struck down in Ukraine

  • Plane model Boeing 777, Malaysia Arilines flight MH17 crashed down during flying over the eastern Ukraine region on Thursday, July 17, 2014. It had a total 298 people on board in which the 283 are passengers plus 15 crew members. Both the Ukraine government and the separatist rebels, two groups fighting in the area, denied the allegation of shooting it down. The flight was all they way from Amsterdam going to Kuala Lumpur and no passengeres survived the crash.

    Malaysian Airlines plane with a flight number of MH17 with 283 passengers and 15 crew members on board was shot down at 33,000ft above using a ground-to-air missile just near Russian border.

    The Pro-Russian rebels are now seeing to be the most accountable for doing this and believes to be as an 'act of terrorism'.

    Separated body parts and plane wreckage spread over 9-mile radius mostly indicating that the plane destroyed in the mid-air.

    The Dutch authorities reported that there were at least 154 Dutch and 27 Australians as well as 23 Americans and many other nationalities which some identities are yet to be known.

    Philip Hammond, the New Foreign secretary also believes that there were British nationals boarded the plane and included in the crash.But up until now, they do not have an exact number and detailed information for the Britons.

    The President of United States, Barack Obama, offers condolences to the families of the victims. He also calls this event as "terrible tragedy".

    As per the initial investigation of the interior ministry of Ukraine, a BUK ground-to-air missile was used to bring down the plane from the mid-air. Ukranian President Petro Poroshenko strongly denied the allegation that his armed forces were involved and pointed out that the crash was an 'act of terrorism' made by other armed group.

    The Pro-Russian groups also denied the plane crash and accused Ukrainian air force. The rebel leaders states that they are now declaring ceasefire to give way for the ongoing investigation.

    While the Ukrainian government are accusing the military intelligence of Russia for the involvement of this tragedy.
