Flight MH17 Manifest Of Passengers and Crew Released

July 19, 2014, a complete list of names of passengers and crew of the flight MH17 that suffered the terrible tragedy in Ukraine was already released by Malaysia Airlines through their official website.

All those people on the list did not survive the crash. According to the released manifesto, there were a total of 298 people on board and 15 of which were the Malaysian crew and 193 were Dutch and the remaining 90 is composed of various nationalities

As of 5 PM on Saturday, July 19, 2014, the airline company updated the number of passengers and their nationalities respectively are as follows:

193 Dutch including 1 dual citizen (Netherlands and USA)

43 Malaysians including the 15 crew members and 2 babies

27 Australians

12 Indonesians including 1 baby

10 British which includes 1 dual citizen (United Kingdom and South Africa)

4 Belgians

4 Germans

3 Filipinos

1 Canadian

1 New Zealander

A TOTAL OF 298

The Malaysia Airlines made a media statement at the night of Saturday in which they appealed to the members of the family and friends of the MH17 passengers to get in touch with the airline. A request from the company to respect the privacy of the grieving families were also stated.

"The airline’s top priority remains to provide care and assistance to the families of the passengers and crew and any information with regards to their movement will not be made public," as per the airline's statement.

The Malaysia Airlines strongly said that they are doing every effort to build contact with the family members of the MH17 passengers along with the foreign embassies but many family members were yet to be contacted.

Meanwhile, Malaysia Airlines deployed a ferry flight last night mobilizing 212 personnel from various government and media bodies and its staff to Kiev and Amsterdam in a special mission for MH17. A total of 85 Malaysia Airlines’ ‘Go Team’ members have been deployed, of which five members will join Malaysia’s Special Disaster Assistance and Rescue Team (Smart) in the search-and-recovery mission at the crash site in the Donetsk region, while 80 other members comprising care givers and the management team will be stationed in Amsterdam to assist the family members of the passengers. - From the latest media statement of Malaysia Airlines
